Jae Yeon Kim BITSS CatalystCatalystPolitical Science

Jae Yeon Kim is an Assistant Research Scholar (postdoctoral fellow) at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He studies computational social science, racial and ethnic politics, political behavior, and public policy and organization. In Spring 2022, Jae will join the KDI School of Public Policy and Management as an Assistant Professor of DataScience. He received his Ph.D. in political science from UC Berkeley, where he was a Senior Data Science Fellow at D-Lab.

His research agenda is interdisciplinary and lies at the intersection of data science and social sciences. His research centers around two themes: advancing social science theory and methods on power, inequality, and resistance and making social science research more efficient and scalable.
