Jeffrey Michler BITSS CatalystEconomics

Jeff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Arizona. He earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University in 2015 and completed a postdoc at the University of Illinois in 2017. Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Jeff was an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan. His research focuses on applying the theories of industrial organization to environmental and natural resource issues in an international development context. He has worked in Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Benin, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Jeff’s core research relies on applied micro theory, microeconometrics, and experimental economics. He is currently editing a special edition of Applied Economics Policy and Perspectives on research ethics and open science.
